Why You Should Get Maternity Photos
When I look back at my first pregnancy, I have wonderful professional maternity photos to look at and they allow me to relive that exciting time. Not only this, but my daughter also enjoys looking through them and having them as keepsakes in her baby book.
For my second child, I made the regretful decision to skip out on professional maternity photos. Now, all I have are cell phone photos to commemorate the time and none are truly worthy to print or put in a baby book for my son to see.
I'm so disappointed that I didn't take the time to celebrate and capture this precious and relatively short time and I feel terrible that my son will not have printed photos of me while I was pregnant with him.
Whether this is your first pregnancy or your fifth, each pregnancy and child are unique and should be celebrated. I urge you to capture one of life's most precious moments with more than a cell phone

When to Schedule Your Maternity Photos
So, if you are expecting, you might wonder when the perfect time to get maternity photos is. Generally, maternity photos are best to be taken between 32-36 weeks.
My schedule can fill up fast, so I usually recommend that you book this session at the beginning of your 2nd trimester so that we can be sure to get your session scheduled during those weeks.
This is also a great time to get your due date on my calendar for your newborn photos. I only take on so many newborn sessions a month, so my schedule can fill up quickly!
